it was broken before, with 100% stability. This was completely unfair to fight against.
does the talisman not work with the shield at all now? Greatshields are still very good.
I just updated my PC and have had no stutter at all since. I have put the settings almost fully on max now as well.
When I first started the game up again, porting to Volcano Manor, my GPU fans started to spin very fast, but after it stopped, it hasn't happened again since.
I'm still using my 1660 OC, but I'm upgrading this next to a 2080ti most likely (I'd like a 3080ti, but due to the price increases, I don't think this is that smart)
Anyway I put in an 11th gen i5 - 11600
The CPU is watercooled via an AIO.
also 16GB of DDR4 RAM (I had 16GB DDR3 previously)
Since the update I've not had any issues. I know people who have faster components have said they are having issues. I also have a fast refresh rate monitor, which I think helps a lot.
I honestly think in a lot of cases it might be cheaper components or older tech monitors that are setting back peoples CPU/GPU's. As you can easily throttle the hardware if everything isn't 100% compatible.
Like people running DDR4 through DDR3 (or having RTX cards in DDR3)
I'm sure the game still could be optimised, but I have experienced the invisible enemies and serious stutter, but it was without trimming down on the settings with older tech (also stuff like steam overlay seriously slowed the game down)
Now the small issues I experienced from time to time seem like they've stopped.
I wish I understood why some people with specs that should be able to run this game on max, are getting a poor experience. I guess some games just don't work right with certain combinations of hardware. I've had it happen to me before with other games, where the game just won't run smoothly for me.
I have a feeling now I have a much faster PC though, I'll likely not have those issues any more.
