you would have to delete you saves, uninstall game, wipe directory, and reinstall game to safely go back online
1) You forget to turn EAC off.
2) You go crazy with souls
3) You go crazy in-general
4) Forget to disable cheats/mods when you re-enable EAC and go online
Many of the users here use the grand merchant mod or cheat engine to get armaments, spells, etc.. It's all about disabling EAC and not adding a bajillion runes or levels out of nowhere.
1. Start new game, progress until I get a crafting kit
2. Exit game and set Steam to Offline
3. Install Grand Merchant, lite version
4. Load up save file, craft whatever equipment I need
5. Uninstall Grand Merchant mod
6. Set Steam back to Online
7. Profit!!!
Haven't been banned yet. The only thing is to make sure you properly uninstall mods before going online again. For Grant Merchant lite, it's just a single file that replaces an existing one in the game folder. Easiest way is to make sure you back up the original file, then when you're ready to uninstall just replace the modded file with the original. You can also verify game files and it will redownload and replace the modded file.
I haven't ever used Cheat Engine, so I don't know what might be different in the process.
Spawning in items is 200% safe (unless it's a cut content, like the infamous Deathbed Smalls).
