Kill maliketh without touching grace
Does this lock you out of faram azula? What about if you get to placidusax and light that grace without touching any other grace in faram azula? I'm not confident enough to test this stuff myself lmao

There is a grace in Maliketh's boss arena that gets activated automatically after you defeat him.

You can wrong warp to Farum Azula by force quitting the game while travelling to that one part of it which is only accessible via the Four Belfries waygate.

Best look up a tutorial on YouTube, the timing is pretty precise, from what I recall.

But no idea if killing Maliketh will lock you out of accessing it altogether, as this might cause some event flag shenanigans, so take it with a grain of salt.

Right, I forgot about that one. Still, since you can't get back to faram from placidusax' arena that makes me curious as to what would happen if you try the same thing with him
Try it, let us know, brave tarnished :bonfire2:
my tarnished always touch grace

Not quite sure why you are thinking that you cannot return to the rest of FA or that it locks you out of FA. Placidusax is just an optional boss in FA.

Note: If you DO kill Maliketh, that DOES lock you out of a good portion of Lyndell.

Because there's no way to return to faram after you go to placidusax arena and I'm talking about this in the context of not touching any grace before entering his arena

What if you just... enter Farum Azula and immediately warp elsewhere? Can you return to the Forge of Giants to re-enter Farum Azula? That would make the most sense to me, but I've never actually tried to softlock myself out of Farum Azula.

Nah you can't warp out of faram azula until you touch a grace

Unless there's something I'm missing, like is there a way to get from placidusax' arena back to faram without using a grace to warp?

To leave the arena, you must travel to a grace somewhere. There is no way to just walk out. But, how is it you have zero grace sites available in the whole zone?

Note: You may need to bring up the travel map while you are actually resting at the arena site of grace after beating placidusax in order to travel out.

I'm not actually in this situation, it's just a hypothetical I'm curious about

Ok. Well, try not to go through a critical area without at least touching a grace as you go. :)

If you do ever get in a situation where you seem to be soft-locked into an arena or similar, be sure to bring up the travel map while you are actually resting at the grace that is there. It might work where just opening the map while standing around does not allow travel.

Good Luck

+1, nobody makes video walkthroughs like cowboy.

Guy doesn't tell you how to build your characters, makes multiple builds, and goes in deep detail. Man's gots a beeg brane.
