Yes. Once you run around Roundtable Hold and meet people, you can then go to any site of grace you want like usual, including the one right before Margit.
Good catch - I forgot to clarify that in my post above.
Maybe you re thinking of some specific game, where the hub is a lobby, but tbf a hub is by definition a focal point, a place of activity of some sort, so Lord Bob has a point there...
yeah hes right im just very stubborn myself.
Once you've been to the Roundtable Hold once, you can quickly warp back there using the following series of inputs after opening your map: Y -> X -> A (or, with Playstation inputs, Triangle -> Square -> X)
You can also mark important sites of grace so you can return to them quickly. This is actually what the initial Y press does: it brings up your list of marked sites.
If you're still having trouble with Margit, explore Limgrave a bit more. In particular, there's a cave where you can obtain a useful item to help you in the fight. Just remember to show mercy when asked.
This isn't quite right. A "hub" is like the hub of a wheel, with all the spokes radiating out to the wheel's rim. In a video game context, a hub area is a central area that connects to many other areas. For example, Peach's Castle is a hub area in Super Mario 64.
With this in mind, Elden Ring doesn't really have any hubs. The Roundtable Hold, however, does fulfill many of the auxiliary functions that are typically assigned to hub areas. Those functions don't make it a hub area, though, it's just useful to put those functions in a readily accessible area like a hub.
