Get rid of Softban.
Hi,

I got softbanned for 180 days. Is there a way to get rid of it earlier?

I was wondering about just creating a new character in the same account, but I guess it won't work, so maybe deleting whole game, including save files etc, then installing again, without any mods and creating a new, clear character without any moded files.
Does anyone know if it will work?

I know that sharing steam accounts doesn't work for a longer period of time.

Is there any other way to get rid of this half year penalty earlier or am I doomed and just have to wait that 180 days?

You have to wait, and depends on what kind of bannable offence you commited your save might be flagged and after 180 days you will get banned again :D

Make sure to delete any left over mod files in your Elden Ring directory, as those won't disappear on their own by deinstalling the game.
Then, delete your save file (not the characters, the actual save file), install the game, create a new character, arrive at the Chapel of Anticipation and quit out using the menu.

This way the servers shouldn't flag you anymore for using mods/save files which are not originally oyurs.

From what I understand 180 days penalty is inevitable and i need to make shure my account is not flagged by deleting these files.

But is there a way to check is my account alteady flagged or I need to pray that after half year I won't be banned again like written above?

You could try to send a ticket to Bandai Namco about it.
Sometimes they are generous and even unban you if it's your first time being penalized.

But even if they unban you, you'll still have to complete all steps I mentioned in my first post before communcating with them, otherwise you'll just be flagged for tampered data/save files all over again.

You can try writing to Bandai Namco support, telling them your situation and which mods you were using, how you unintentionally went online with them and how you deleted all your characters and want to start anew.
Might work, might not.

On their official website there is written, that the support team can not deactivate ban that was given by system, but I will try anyway, thanks.

Try turning off cloud saving in steam's settings.

i understand majority of ppl hear or see the word "mod" and assume ppl are cheating, but there are some mods that make the game fun and not broken, granted ppl who mod games should play it offline so they dont mess with ppl who play it vanilla but not all mods are bad.
