e
Boss Arena mod is the only way.
However it has several flaws.
1.) when i tried it some time ago you had to install 2 mods and merge them
2.) it has presets for boss difficulty that change the fight dramatically
Like when i choose a boss and set it to balanced difficulty
i did insane damage >-<
like 60% more damage per hit then on my normal games
with easier difficulty i even did 100% more damage >-<
So it wont be the same experience than on a normal playthrough
Also HP and Mana bar were constantly bugged for me when using that mod
Hey, current maintainer of the Boss Arena mod here. Those aspects you mention are not the case in the current version of the mod anymore, I specifically removed the scaling options because they were pretty broken and causing a lot of bugs. The best way to maintain a reasonable level of difficulty with an endgame level character is to use the built-in option to trigger NG+ cycles, especially in the latest version as I've rebalanced NG+ enemy stats to make earlier bosses more challenging. I'm also working on a mode that will focus on progression, advancing through boss tiers and gaining levels and upgrade materials accordingly.
There's also no need to merge mods just to use it, unless you specifically want to use it in conjunction with other mods (which may or may not be possible and it's not something I can officially provide support for). All you need is ModEngine2, and as far as I know that's always been the case, even in the old version.
