How'd you beat Miquella's followers?

I sided with Leda both times during her quest and killed both Hornsent and Ansbach(sp?).

As far as I'm aware, I've completed all content from the DLC up to this point.

I have Thiollier and some random Sanguine Noble man as summonable allies.

I tried fighting the NPC squad by myself and did not have much success.
Then I decided to bring in the +10 Anna and Shelly (or whatever their names are -- a pair of summons from the DLC from the Cathedral questline!)

I figured that summoning both NPC allies and using a spirit ash would just turn the encounter into a cakewalk.

But my spirit summons were weak!
By phantom allies were also weak.


So I haven't beaten them yet.


I tried a few gimmicky strategies, like using Spinning Strikes on a halberd, or using the bear claws with loads of bonus Stamina. But both Moore and Freyja can just poise through my consecutive attacks with their shields.

When in 'crisis', run from everyone and try to have them all aligned so that the 'Wave of Gold' (if you can wield it) can put a 'pause' on their pressure

Wait, so if you kill Ansbach you get a random Sanguine Noble instead of him to help you in the fight? That's interesting.

You could summon in other players. Also, did you consider changing to a tankier spirit summon, like Talyew the Golem Smith?

Other than that, try using status effects like poison, rot, madness or even death blight, if your build has access to it.

DPS the first summon. Kite the rest And focus on the ones your summons are fighting

Black Flame Tornado is hilariously good against player-type NPCs, if you have any eligible weapons for it. So I pretty much spammed it.

Same method I use, give some space before you do it and just wait for enemy come to you.

I used a buffed up Godskin Stitcher with triple-thrust AoW applied and just kept on spamming the L2 button while managing my stamina bar. Along with Thollier and my mimic tear, we were able to take down all 5 npcs.

I beat them first try just using my big bonk stick with Thiollier and Ansbach (however they're spelled), no spirit, facing Freyja, Moore, Dane, and Leda. They come in one at a time, so ideally you take out the first one or two as soon as possible so you can at least have each character in a 1v1, if not outnumbered by your team. At that point its just a normal NPC player fight, my big bonk stick staggered all of them on every hit, so it was just a matter of spacing and timing hits like any fight before then. I did also have +19 or 20 scadu blessing, and +9 spirit blessing (does that affect summons?), so that probably helped a lot too; if you're blessing 15 or below, it is almost certainly worth going out to find some more before continuing.

It wasn't too bad

Maybe try some invading to learn player avatar combat.

They're very easy with a STR build, just chain stunlock them.

If your build can't use big bonk weapons, then put the Giant Hunt AoW on whatever sword/spear/halberd/twinblade etc you have, and then just spam it, the AI is very dumb and has no counter for this strat lol.

It was just me, my Mimic, the Sangine Noble vs Leda. Dane and Morre... Ancient Meteoric Greatsword, Made the NPCs easy.... White Light Charge is just stupid good....

For my first blind clear i got everyone against me except Thioller and Ansbach ( also no Hornsent there but i will leave that for later....). As a frenzy flame enjoyer thanks to the flame of frenzy melted a lot of their eyes! But i was totally overwhelmed until Thioller and Ansbach decided to appear (they take their sweet time to get there).

I was not prepared at all, even i had a "sniping" build to take all the nasty horned and lion holy warriors before the fight so i nearly died a lot of times. Didnt even summoned spirit ashes because i had my hands full dodging, healing and casting with the little time i had left. The most memorable moment of the fight was when Moore joined us, greeting me with a hefty rot pot straight to my face wich of course rotted me.....to then proceed to fat roll all over the place and play tennis with my face using his greatshield as racket.

In the end i miraculously prevailed thanks the power of "FrIEnDsHiP!, scarlet Aeonia and frenzy flame but helll it was intense.......so intense i totally forgot to loot Leda after.

Now Hornsent......even doing what he asked (summoning him for Messmer) the bastich invaded me after killing Radhan near the church of the bud. It was a miracle no red pest joined us to kill me but in the end i got all his loot so lets consider it a happy ending.

the fight is very easy, if you can't get through it there's no point in going on because the final boss is 100x harder.
