This has got to be some uninspired bait for jesters. Just the other week I saw someone asking the same thing about spirit ashes or something of the like.

Either way I will answer the same; It's a game mechanic and a tool meant to be used and utilized. Why would I feel guilty about using something that was designed to be used in the way it was meant to be used?
