if i use the mod to buy some dlc weapon and some souls to level up (max level ) then i remove the mod and go online?
From the Glorious Merchant nexus site:
How can I use this mod without being banned?
ModEngine2 automatically launches offline, so you don't need to do anything special to avoid being banned while using the mod.
If you plan on going back online, the usual warning is that anything under "Browse cut content" will result in bans. If you don't own the DLC, the "DLC Items" menu should also be avoided.
This is not my own personal research, and I don't know FromSoft's internal policies, so I'm not able to look into more specific questions about how to avoid bans. If you care about playing online, please exercise extra caution with anything that seems like it would be flagged.
Kindly don't necro a thread only to vent and on top of that also being in the wrong.
Why spread it then?
Installing mods the wrong way will get you banned. Doesn't matter if it's just cut content or not. It has been like that for more than a decade.
And no, the Op asked about the safety of using a mod, because they don't want their friend to get banned, as they play the game through steam family share.
Anyways
Even necromanced i will still recomend you to NOT install a third party software unless you are fully aware of the consequences.
Thanks Lord Bob for posting the specifics. The mod page spells out the do's and don'ts.
As far as third party, poorly understood software, most people crossed that line by installing EAC.
It's easier if you dupe the items you want with a friend helping you. The merchant is a huge pain as it will restrict your ability to play online for good. Is it worth it?
Technically, you must not get banned for having Fia's panties and any unobtainable item in your inventory, but must get banned at the exact moment that you equip Fia's panties 😭or equip/use other unobtainable items.
Btw, DON'T TEST IT and avoid all unobtainable items.
This is incorrect.
