Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is simply stunning
FromSoftware have really outdone themselves with this DLC. Each and every area is a sight to behold. My Jaw dropped when I reached the Cerulean Coast, quite possibly the most beautiful area I have ever seen in a FromSoftware game and the verticality is insane with areas built upon areas.

Not since I fought Ludwig, The Holy Blade in Bloodborne have I been so impressed with a boss than Divine Beast Dancing Lion (the first DLC boss). What an incredible spectacle of a boss.

I fought Rellana, The Twin Moon Knight last night in Castle Ennis and she was just as equally impressive to fight, including her crazy move set with the Moonlight sword and the Twin Moon Spell she casts off when her health is low. What an intense fight.

I loved the base game dearly, but I am really loving this DLC even more.

Relanna not Rennalla. Rennala was in the base game. The developers introduced changes in this gem of a DLC. Hello!

But....You have to dislike the expansion, OP and become a CrITiCaL tHiNkEr not a "ZhIiL".

Just kidding, OP. I completly agree with this whole thread, new expansion biomes are just plain amazing and the Abyssal Woods is my new Elden Ring happy place.

You mentioned the Divine beast as a impressive boss and im not just going to praise your good taste, also point to the AMAZING dynamic soundtrack, changing every time the beast uses a new element....That was a feast for the ears.

Overall impression: ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Hard DLC, hating the Furnace Golems alot (maybe im missing a trick or something), BUT the landscape is really amazing and the boss fights so far where all fun - hard but fun.

Absolutely agreed. I finished a full playthrough about 2 weeks after release, and just started a second one 2 days ago with a different character. I forgot how difficult it was, and mostly resemble the little screaming dude in the Carbot animated cartoons even now. But damn is it beautiful.

Dancing Lion is one of my favourite bosses now; in this second playthrough, I could really admire his style, I love how he changes elements, and I agree with one of the posts earlier, that the music is absolutely on point. Rellana is a treat also, I love her phase shift, and her fighting. DLC is a great fun.

In a way Rellana, The Twin Moon Night kinda reminds me of Artorias from Dark Souls 1 DLC (my favourite boss fight in the original Dark Souls).

True. The easier Version of this Bastard. He was the first true Progression blocker for me back than.

You are right, there is a lot of Pontiff Sulyvahn in her too.

Thanks for this wholesome, positive post, OP :) Agree on the great areas in the DLC - visually stunning, and even if it may not seem the case at first, there's quite a lot of variance to be found. Also agree on (so far) skipping a good number of the furnace golems - but optional golem fights are optional.
