The scarlet-brainrotted community won't accept anything less than a 10 due to their fragile egos. Play the game and decide for yourself. Personally the main game was not a masterful experience in my opinion, but I still had a ton of fun.

Souls DLC has always just been more Dark Souls. They don't make amazing DLC like CDPR who actually increase the depth of the game by adding new mechanics and improving old mechanics.

But the vast majority of Souls fans don't care, they just love more Dark Souls. They are easy to appease.
