ELDEN RING

ELDEN RING

I am from the future
Bloodborne sees a PC port handled by NIXXES and published here on Steam with the typical NIXXES bells and whistles. dlss3/fsr3/xess, Unlocked framerate and ultrawide support all on a shoe-string budget.

In the same year Bandai publishes Elden Ring 2 with Fromsoft at the helm with no upscaling technologies, capped frame-rate and limited aspect ratios all to record breaking sales.

It makes me very sad to think how very plausible this all sounds.

Can't wait to play Elden Ring 2 on my 8090 GPU at an astonishing low 6% load at native 4k with terrible AA. You get it? Capped at 60 fps and no DLAA in 2031!! lmao

Miyazaki was recently interviewed about the PC version of bloodborne. In short, he wants to do it, but Sony won't give the go ahead.

That it's embarrassing how tom out of his garage can single handily inject dlss into elden ring in under a week without access to development tools and yet fromsoft with their studio size, bandai support and boatload of cash are incapable of giving us dlss already!!!

dlss makes games look worse and you'd need a really bad pc to even need dlss for this game tbh

Seriously though, is playing a game without dlss really that unenjoyable?

I bet you use TAA over DLSS LOL. DLAA exists and it surpasses all other anti-aliasing solutions. Its not upscaling. Its native resolution.

It really depends on the implementation. It will always be a tradeoff between visuals and performance, but with a good implementation you'll be hardpressed to see any visual downgrade in actual gameplay.

It is when you compound it with the fact that there's no unlocked framerate or ultrawide support in 2024. DLAA does wonders to image quality.
