Why are we being presented with DLC as a new game?
Why are we being presented with DLC as a new game?
Streamers play in advance, they get paid for it, despite the fact that this is the same game as in 2022. People spread information as if it’s something incredible, but the DLC for Souls games is just an addition to the game, why is it being spread as a New Game? Journalists write about this, Miyazaki talks a lot... To be honest, I don’t understand.

Ok, you can make an argument that DLC is big, so it deserves such attention, but will everyone pass it and play it? Of course not, which leaves this dlc for 10-20% of players. For new players, there may not be any disappointments, because most Souls players are Newbies, but I will be watching repeated animations from previous games, which was already in the very first trailer, which ultimately devalues the DLC to some extent.

Also there will be way more than 10-20% of players getting the DLC I suspect. And most Souls players are not newbies, though there certainly has been a large influx for Elden Ring because of its Open World nature. I dont think its been presented as a new game?? Outside the price tag at least. Most Souls DLCs get pretty hyped up, same as the base games. I remember a ton of hype for the Bloodborne DLC and the Dark Souls 3 DLCs. I think thats just they way they do things

Was there a point to this post?I'm not exactly sure what this post is here to achieve?
It looks like incoherent rambling with no actual agenda.

Miyazaki says he didn't make the RPG of his dreams. How does this relate to DLC? As if something needs to be said, but why say it is not very clear. If he talked less about his plans during the DLC advertisement, there would probably be fewer questions.
