Game wont launch on my steam deck, even after verifying files and reinstalling it. Any ideas on how to fix it.

I managed to boot the game on Linux by downloading and enabling Proton 6.1 GE-2 in the compatibility tab, although that prevented me from playing online.

I remember a thread where a guy said he managed to get it running and playing online by using other Proton versions or something.

Just use the latest proton. It works. Or go to beta if it aint on stable. No need go use an old version of proton

I'm using the latest proton, and it won't work. This is the only game I seem to be having issues with. It launches to the anti cheat screen then goes white and then goes back to steam.

I got it up and running using Proton Experimental in Kubuntu on Desktop. may try that Proton version.

if you're not scared of it you could try launching into Desktop mode and see if it'll run in that manner, I think a few games are odd on that for SteamDeck.

did you check protonDB and see if there's any suggested additional commands for it?

I never thought of checking protonDB, And I'll definitely try it on desktop mode thanks.

Thanks everyone for your help, switching to desktop mode seemed to fix the problem.

But it won't have access to full hardware in desktop mode?
