am I able to plat DLC without owning the game?
I'm playing Elden Ring from my friend's library. can I purchase the DLC and play it without owning the game itself?

i think in this case your friend needs to own the dlc in order for you to play it in that way.

you can only buy dlc if you own the base game. but even if you could you wouldn't be able to use the dlc because you're using your friend's account to play the game and they don't own the dlc.

pretty sure they did change it so you can buy soundtracks without owning the game now though.

If you don't know the gender of an unknown person, you refer to them as "they", and no this has nothing to do with pronouns, just in case you go off in that direction.

Edit:
I mean it literally does, but it's nothing to do with choosing your pronoun or your identification.

Trivia: There are records of this kind of usage dating back to 1375 apparently.

In my mother tongue, I would have just defaulted to using "he".
