Most Memorable Side-Dungeon Moments?
Does anyone have a story to tell of discovering an illusory wall, glitching OOB, or getting absolutely lost in one of the many dungeons/caves/catacombs in the game?

For me, the ones with identical rooms/layout but separate floors and tricks to navigate/figure out where in the dungeon you are, are my favorite and I remember them very well.

Specifically, I remember realizing what was happening about 5-10 minutes deep and going "this is actually 10/10 for a dungeon" since it made me feel like I was losing my mind.

That one cave that leads into the ruins.

That is not quite memorable, now is it? I don't know what you're referring to, since like five things lead into ruins/another zone

the double illusory wall at the subterranen shunning grounds in the room with the special door for the mad ending.
having reached all the way down here to discover there was an EVEN deeper place was insane especially the size of it^^

You go in, fight some wolves, see a big hole in the floor, go down further, more wolves, and yet another hole to go deeper, then you end up in a unique ruin, ends with a easy golem fight, drops the blue dancer charm.

It was the highroad cave.

Probably the most memorable for me was the dungeon directly underneath Raya Lucaria, the one that leads up to Terra Magica. Why, you ask? Because somehow I managed to completely miss it for my first four or five playthroughs, including getting all the achievements. I have no idea how I missed something that obvious, but there you go. Liurnia. :er_sweat:

Oh yes, I go there very early. That one is fun.

This is probably Fromsoftware's most unbelievable illusory wall trick.

- Walk into mysterious building in forest at night
- Its dark
- Upon entry I see bloodstains EVERYWHERE
- Shield raised, spamming lockon, proceeding slowly
- WhereisitwhereisitwhereisitWHERE
- Check every inch of the room. Nothing.
- Center of the room has what looks like an elevator
- "Ok, its a trap"
- Mentally prepare self
- Step on button
- Normal, if somewhat long elevator
- No danger
- Confusion

My last playthrough, I was re-clearing areas based on looking around and remembering if I had been to spots I could see or not. I distinctly marked that tower in two different ways trying to find the way into it for at least an hour, only to give up, look it up, and feel dumb lmao.

I forget which one it’s called, but it’s the one where it feels like you’re running in a loop. It seems normal enough - a few simple plants, zombies, an omen bigboi, but then you start back where you started. So then you run it again to find the same enemies, only now the plants are bigger and there’s another omen bigboi standing over the body of the one you presumably killed.

Going in blind, it was a real mind ♥♥♥♥ dungeon. One of the few that I actually care to remember.
