what does the deluxe edition include?
I've been holding off on buying elden ring until the dlc comes out and gives me time to complete the other souls games, but I'm not seeing what the deluxe editon includes. It's $20 more than the elden ring + dlc bundle, what is that $20?

Thanks. Would you say the art book is worth it? Not interested in the soundtrack as youtube exists.

nah i wish all these deluxe editions would go away its just confusion and it isn't like FROM is some solo indie dev who needs extra 10/20 bucks question how much of that extra money reaches devs rather the publisher

tldr not my jam

As a Fromsoft simp who has bought both the Deluxe base game and “premium” DLC, lemme tell ya

Don’t do it bro

The OST and Artbook from the Deluxe base game was implemented so poorly. They’re not extra downloads that you can open and enjoy at anytime. You can only launch them by launching the base game and choosing an option. If you try to open their .exe applications in the game folder, you still need the base game installed. Yes, the OST and Artbook are .exe applications.

It isn’t .mp3 files for music or a pdf for cool artwork like most traditional extra goodies. You can just as easily listen to the OST on YT and buy a better, more in-depth e-book for probably less.

The emote you can just unlock by playing with another FS simp (like me) who already has it.

I imaging the DLC OST and Artbook will be no different.

Not getting them as mp3 or pdf sucks so much, honestly. I mean I get that they were probably trying to prevent both from spreading like the plague to everyone who did not buy the premium edition, but still. In my opinion, if you buy it, you should own it.

At least the gesture can be passed on.
dam its even worse :D

Yea, agreed. It’s also ironic how most fan made content and artbooks that cost way less are significantly better.

Just don’t look at the Steam Art section. Truuuuust me

If the money went straight away to the artists that made the graphics and the soundtrack, I wouldn't mind, as they are usually put on "hold" earlier in development compared to other departments. But my bet, is that those extra funds just go straight to the company. IF it included something else than artbook and soundtrack, i'd revisit this position but until then...

Can you clarify if this is still the case with music today? Is it really impossible to listen to it in Steam player or separately on your computer? Do I need to launch the game to listen to the soundtracks?
