That's the positive outlook this forums needs right now.
1. It might be the basis for an entirely new MP system for future Souls games. This needed to happen years ago, imo.
2. I'm a Monster Hunter fiend and Nightreign apparently has a bit of that. I would take a MH-style Souls game over an open-world Souls game any day of the week.
3. We get to fight iconic bosses from previous games again, likely with some new tricks up their sleeves (I highly doubt they'll be the same copy + pasta fights as before).
4. We might also end up fighting bosses that were sorely missing from ER and SotE, mainly Godwyn, Marika, and the Gloam-Eyed Queen.
Let them cook.
Or that's at least what I could gather from all of this. It's too early to tell for sure, though.
that would be so cool
They can cook all they want, its none of my business and not under my control what they do. Personally I'm not very interested in this project, and I haven't played many rogue likes, but yea it just makes me curious how only 3 tries would give you that feeling of incremental progress.
That's why I'm hoping Nightreign can maybe break me into the genre. It's why I'm cautiously optimistic.
