How is this a problem?
Racism isn't in it's own bubble no matter how much of an extremist view point it is. How is it any different to any other example?
Is it really too daunting for you to use it as a comparison?
Their combat system in Souls is fine tuned for solo play. Fighting a boss as a group was always incredibly awkard. There's a reason people like Let Me Solo Her exist. If you know how to beat the boss it's actually easier to do it yourself than getting caught off guard because the AI decided to randomly switch back to you at the worst possible moment, which just invites simplistic hit and run tactics.
Also their netcode never allowed for something like parries but in the footage we see Sekiro deflections. If they can make that work now why couldn't they fix the netcode in Elden Ring? Laziness?
This announcement is just so damn wierd.
TBH I think let me solo her does it as a bragging right.
I get your point, I'm just not sure about the example. I'm also entirely assuming based off likelihood, so if you have a source pls share.
This explains so much about the mental gymnastics.
Yeah, I guess that's the most likely outcome.
Still can't say I'm really interested...and I'm pissed with the whole bait and switch video announcing an ER DLC that isn't actually an ER DLC (and hiding that information behind a third party interview). Went from 'damn we're getting another ER DLC? That's awesome' to 'wtf is this rubbish' super fast.

Most importantly this buy is optional (duh) but even in the fact that it seems optional in the story of elden ring. SOTE was an expansion on the ideas and story of Elden Ring and your pursuit of the throne of Elden Lord. this gameplay and story, seemingly has NNNOTHING to do with that and is its own separate story, maybe even its own separate universe. It's just spectulation but ill put my money where my mouth is and say I think that the extent of Darkreigns effect on Elden Ring's base game is perhaps the aquisition of extra runes, new equipment, or maybe infinite larval tears to make customisation and experimentation less limited.
Remember, Think boss rush mode in Sekiro or a long lasting rogue like in GOW valhalla. We havent even seen the game yet or how the mechanics work fully, so we should wait until then to make full judgements
