I have a bog ptoblem. I want to defeat fortissaux, asel and MAlenia but I can't as I am insectophobic and can't hold ants. What can I do?

If you're worried about getting banned or if you want to go online, then never use mods. At the very least make sure to disable all mods before going online.

The ER forum is already brimming with posts from people complaining about 'cheaters', so don't add to the problem.

If you go online while using mods, yes, you will be banned. Being banned doesn't prevent you from playing the game though, it just forces you to stay in offline mode.

Not the same issue at all. The cheaters that everyone is complaining about are using a security exploit on Linux devices to do all kinds of idiotic things like screwing up other peoples' save files. That's nothing like using a graphical mod for your own enjoyment and peace of mind.

For the OP, since the subject came up, look up how to create a manual backup of your save files. Doing so regularly is a very smart idea, both because of the aforementioned cheaters and because very rarely Steam cloud can just screw up monumentally. Once you figure out how to do it the first time, it's extremely easy.

A phobia is a clinical condition that can often require years of therapy to treat. You don't "conquer" it and being very "adult", like I'm very VERY certain you absolutely must be, doesn't make it go away.

I too hate bugs. Which is why I enjoy seeing them die. One would think if there's a phobia of something. There'd be a certain level of catharsis involved in killing virtual facsimiles. Knowing full well that they aren't real and can't hurt you.
