Nightreign's release date just got announced, and regardless of my opinions on it, I thought it'd be nice to start a daily countdown like I did for the DLC. (edit: actually Alby started it if I remember correctly)

It's really good they only start marketing AI towards people when it's somewhat able to be helpful. Imagine the outcome of doing it when it was still in the early stages, akin to how insanely cursed some AI generated videos looked back then. "Google, get me a coffee", followed by your coffee machine performing the incomprehensible act of spawning at least thirty five cups in the most janky motion you have ever witnessed in your life. And on top of all that, none of the cups actually contain coffee.

Seeing how "AI" does anything right now without heavy supervision and serious human work involved, I'm not concerned.

If anything, you'll get even more trashy mobile games.

Here's to you not getting plagiarized by some bozo, on top of fighting against AI slop which is able to churn out more text in five minutes than some people ever will produce in their entire life. At least it's still kind of obvious if it's AI or not. I also like to imagine that some people will prefer a text made by a human brain compared to whatever an AI will cook up on the spot, despite there being hardly a way to distinguish one from the other, given enough time.

It was always going to happen mate. You remember the term "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jobs"? It was David Grabber (r.i.p.) who came up with it, explaining how even high powered jobs were kept to avoid mass protests.

I'm amazed we got this far tbh.

Also a few months back there was a screenwriters strike in US due to the heavy use of A.I. from production studios.

Once the creative jobs are gone, it's going to be dog eat dog...
