Nightreign Countdown

Hey-o everyone, look what's back.

Nightreign's release date just got announced, and regardless of my opinions on it, I thought it'd be nice to start a daily countdown like I did for the DLC. (edit: actually Alby started it if I remember correctly)

So, good morning everyone. Today is Wednesday, February 12th, 2025. There are 107 days remaining until Nightreign releases. That's 2568 hours, 154,080 minutes, or 9,244,800 seconds.

I'm honestly excited for it. I was very confused about it when I watched the announcement trailer, but I believe that it definitely has the potential to be a fun little side project they are cooking up at FromSoft.

I'm cautiously optimistic for it tbh, there were too many glaring issues with multiplayer in every fromsoft game to warrant not being cautious. But if you can have just as much success with solo playing as you can with multi than I don't think they'll push out a bad game.

Well I’m currently level 100 on my first playthrough of Elden Ring. I’m assuming that I’ll be finishing the DLC at level 200.

So as long as I’m getting at least 1 level’s worth of progress a day, I’ll be done in time.

I wasn't aware that preorders started today, and that the deluxe edition actually contains a dlc that will release between October and December of this year.

Also not really sure what the bonus preoder gesture is supposed to be. Kind of looks similar to the welcome gesture that's already present in Elden Ring.

There's gonna be DLC? That's... mildly concerning. It better not be repackaged content from old games.

Buy the Lost Izalith pack now to unlock Bed of Chaos as an additional boss fight with up to two friends. All this and lava that slows you down when you walk in it for the low price of 3,99 Erdbucks!

But yeah, it will definitely contain either a new spectacular boss, alongside several older ones. No way they're not cashing out on introducing Nameless King to Nightrein.

Also, wait a second. Didn't one of the Nightreign devs say that all content will be available out of the box? I believe that statement kind of excludes dlc to release at some point. Or maybe I'm just misunderstanding things here.

Either they meant that the DLC is additional content and not ubisoft style "take out content, resell it later" or it was some sort of translation error. Personaly, announcing a DLC before a game's release reeks of removing content to be resold. Maybe I'm just being a hater though.
