Volcano manor cage thing

I got summoned as hunter and an invader pulled me from 20m away into a cage in Volcano Manor,spammed ruins GS skill without damaging me,finally killed me somehow and when i respawned i got stuck falling under the map.What just happened?

There are some people out there who hack the game of other people. This mostly happens when the person who gets hacked is hosting the session, I haven't heard of anyone's world getting altered while they were summoned in as a phantom.

Always and regularly create manual save file backups:

On window, type %appdata% into the search bar, hit enter, got to roaming and locate a directory called EldenRIng. This is where your account's save data is located. Copy the entire folder somewhere safe, e.g. personal cloud save, external hard drive, etc. and use it in case you have been hacked. Better safe than sorry.

Like everyone said, but restated in a way I can understand:

"Hacker cheat, hacker probably diddled your save file. Diddled save files can hard-lock your game and/or get you banned.

Copy/paste your save files into a folder every time you end a play session OR anytime before you plan on playing online with someone."
