stuck on varre's questline

i have just picked up the game again, i've done 3 invasions but when i talk to varre he keeps saying to try the finger i gave him. anyone else run into this issue ?

Try invading more. If this doesn't work, the Writheblood Ruins on Altus Plateau have an NPC you can invade via a red sign you need to interact with. Defeating him counts towards completing Varre's quest.

Defeating him not only counts towards the quest, but completes it entirely, I want to add.

Thank you ! this worked. For some reason after 10+ invasions his quest-line was not progressing. My build is terrible atm, only won 1 invasion out of the 10, not that you have to win them for the quest-line to prog.

I was pretty good at Ds3 pvp, haven't really had time to get into elden ring pvp, the game is soo much bigger.

If you're still stuck, try doing your invasions from Folly on the Lake. That is the grace I used multiple times to complete the quest.
