Pay attention on success, red sparks will accompany the parry success sound in the location your shield needs to meet the enemy's weapon. Practice timing the press such that the shield is in that location each time.
If you wanna parry start as the thief class the clossest runner ups are things like storm wall and golden parry i believe but still not as good as buckler parry dont bother with the parrying dagger it has like 5 parry frames and a long windup it will feel horrible unless you are a parry god and even then itll feel really bad compared to the buckler.
Where did you get these values? Is there a dust loop like place for souls games, I'd like to poke around if so, looking for something more traditional in "press on frame of or before attack "
