Hardest boss ranked by me.
Finally beat the game.
Hardest boss according to me that play with all the tools in game (summons, ashes of war, weapon upgrade, armor, etc).
1. Malenia.
2. Fire Giant.
3. Radagon/Elden Beast.
4. Hoarah Loux.
5. Malekith.
6. Black Knife Ringleader.
7. Dragonlord Placidusax.
8. Crucible Knight.
9. Full-grown Fallingstar Beast.
10. That Random Tattoo-ed Bears that hits you out of nowhere.
100. Radahn.

I was gonna list him as one of the harder bosses.

For me, I think just in terms of raw deaths (because I don't think its the same list as hardest bosses, like margit I died a lot to only because he was the boss I fought most undergeared in the whole game probably)

1/2: margit/malenia (died to margit like 22 times or something, didn't count for malenia but it was similar).
3/4/5: bell bearing hunter/mohg/crucible knight+misbegotten (didn't count for bell bearing hunter, but the other 2 were about 12 times, and I think bell bearing hunter was around the same)
6: malekith (he was like 10 so pretty close)
7: everyone else, there were several I died to 5-6 times. Maybe like niall took 7.

Of those bosses, I think margit is a lot easier than my death count (I was just new to souls in general, and had no upgrades for anything).

I think bell bearing hunter belongs about where I put him though. Malekith felt harder but he's just got such low hp you can kill him a few good hits, mohg was probably harder, and crucible knight was probably easier (I think I just still kind of sucked when I fought it, although I'm still bad against crucible knights just not sure about top 5 deaths bad).

even without taking nerfs into consideration Radahn's placement makes some sense, once your past the arrows then just riding around on torrent keeping out of reach and hitting the gold signs as the show up is a fairly risk-free way to completely trounce the fight. especially if "all the tools in the game" includes magic, get some sacrifical distractions and it's easy to just blast poor Raddy~

1. Malenia
2. Malenia
3. Malenia
4. Malenia
5. Malenia

6. Everyone else

Seriously the only boss I struggled with was Malenia.

Ok Elden Beast was 2nd place but only because he's super annoying than actually hard lmao.

Kind of surprised to see Hoarah Loux ranked so high, I didn't find him particularly difficult but he was definitely one of my favorite fights.

Malenia can be nasty, first time I fought her and saw what she could do I decided to put the game down and come back later when I had more time to invest.

Doesn't the same work vs a ton of bosses? I saw a youtube video of a pacifist playthrough so I assume this isn't specific to radahn (he just requires less preparation because you don't need a spirit ash, or whatever you do to use the battle specific summons).

Hahaha same, she took me 30+ tries while the others barely took me 10 tries.

What was so hard about Fire giant?
I just mounted up and kept slapping his weak leg and ran away when he used his fire aoe until phase 2 when I did the same again.
I dunno, that strategy doesnt works for me.

Didnt work for me either.
Needed to deal with him
by foot to not get smacked on the head by his shield.

My thing was you have so long to react to attacks like the shield smash that they're pretty easy to roll, and if you do get hit he doesn't follow up attack for a while so you have plenty of time to heal.

Basically as long as you're not squishy enough to be 1 shot, at the very least you shouldn't die before you use all your flasks unless you screw up really bad (like I died to him because I got complacent knowing he couldn't 1 shot me... then he 1 shot my horse and I got stunned on the ground for so long he got another swing off).

He is a bit of a grind to kill, but still he's not particularly high damage and doesn't punish you for going in. Compared to someone like mohg (who also didn't tend to kill me before I exhausted flasks), its just so much easier to get damage off safely that I was never really at risk of exhausting my healing.

same, but his attack that i hated most is that slowly moving fireball, it's really intimidating lol
