one decoy chest mimic and then it's lever-mimics. literal grace-mimics and elevator-mimics all the way down!
Though ironically enough they did sorta MIMIC this (ok I'll stop lol) on the new mimic hat; it gives you +7 ARC at the cost of some physical damage (you deal, not dealt to you). Nothing TOO crazy, but helps a little.
Though I will always miss the treasure chest boys; will never forget the :
- First time I got eaten in Sen's Fortress
- When I learned you could use Lloyd's Talismans to put them to sleep and get the item still
- Learned the trick that made it so you didn't need to hit the chests anymore AND still know if it was a mimic (there was a minor appearance difference between normal chests and mimics).
Teleportation chests are the Elden Ring thing.
So did I! Anxiously waiting to finally find a mimic.... but no! =(
But they even used the old chest model (from the Souls series in a couple of instances, if I'm not mistaken), the wooden one, with a chain on the side.
When I saw those, I thought for sure those finally could be mimics... but they weren't
