Can an enemy steal/ remove your weapon?

Can some enemys steal or disarm you?`
Im doing combos with my sword, and suddenly im using a fist. This has happen several times.
Since i have 2-3 weapons active, it should swap to a different sword or bow if i touched the mouse wheel?

Leveling up Dex and Arc will reduce the chances of mobs stealing your weapons

So im guessing its more like a bug or keyboard combination issue

It happened to me. Was fighting with a Leyndel knight, and suddenly my weapon wasn't in my hands anymore and I was just punching. Pretty sure it's not related to me pushing the wrong button on my gamepad (the button I would need to use is on the direction pad and I didn't use it for this fight).

My first thought would be "it's a bug", but since it's FromSoftware, might be a feature we don't know about that enables some enemies to disarm you under certain circumtances x) For example, I just recently noticed you can interrupt your charged attack with curved swords by pressing the dodge/roll button, that way you do a fast backstep instead. That's the only weapons I've been able to do that with, so maybe that disarm thing is on purpose ? :o

Was thinking it might be a bad port situation, since im using K/M but if it happens on a controller also then i have no idea.

he is trolling you. dont listen^^ no enemy can steal your items from equip or inventory. only other players can steal items but only if you drop them onto the floor aswell.
