Seriously how much coke was being done when making the decision to make the rune bears have more HP then dragons, have the samage damage output, and have more and faster attacks which are also spammed more ?

fairly sure standard dragon lore is dragons dont get weake from ageing, older dragons are always more powerfull and dangerous

When I rang in the age of stars with Ranni, after my first playthrough, there were two enemies unkilled in my game: the giant golem on the ledge above Radahn's playground and the larval tear rune bear in the consecrated snow fields.
Rune bears are utter bs. Lobsters, crabs, crucible knights and royal revenants have somewhat normal-sized hp pools, at least, which means that while they are relentless and hard to fight without a greatshield or a hundred fights against them under your belt, they at least die before your flasks run out.

Dragons do not exist, therefore this poster's excellent joke is factually accurate despite being ridiculous sounding.

Some of the bears are oddly powerful and would smash most of the game's bosses. I think I've seen at least two with over 20K hp and I'm sure I'll find more as I finish the game.

my statement is also factually acurate and i find it to be funny aswell, but year bears are freaking borked to the stupides degree. I suspect they just let interns handle the design and blance of them and never bother to check up on it assume how much could they ♥♥♥♥ ti up

I hate the Rune bears and just avoid them when I can, however, the trick to actually killing them is to roll into their attacks and punish the lunges. Use bleed or proc frostbite if you can.

there is CERTAIN enemies in this game that are JUST NOT WORTH bothering with at all. you get nothing from killing them and they are never really in the way aswell. so i just let them be most the time.

yes runebears are one of these. just not worth it. i only use them to break rocks when needed.
the other enemy is LOBSTERS. pretty sure they could snipe you down from orbiting the planet.

Rune bears are time consuming but you can quite easily turtle them and keep moving to your right to dodge many of their attacks. Keep you shield up and poke them with a (poison) ant spur rapier, then switch to a frost katana or something to keep stacking statuses. Don't get greedy or you'll get run over by the charge.

You might infer from the comparative weakness of dragons that they've had their day and they're now washed up has-beens. Rune bears might just be regular bears who, being undead, can keep eating and getting bigger and bigger.

Not undead, that's something very specific in this game. I think runebears are regular bears that have been infused with runes, probably by mages given how FROM writes.
