Can my steam account get game banned for using mods?

Hi, i'm a fairly new player to elden ring. Me and a friend are planning on using the seemless coop mod for the game found on nexus mods. a few of my friends have warned me that you can possibly get a game ban on your steam account for using elden ring mods because it uses EasyAntiCheat, and in other places it says otherwise. So more or less, could i get a Steam account game ban for this? Thanks.

you don't get a steam ban by using mods, you get a ban from online mode in the game

If you go online using a mod you can face a 180 day ban and then its delete everything all saves and wait for ban to clear

I used it and everything seemed fine, me and my friend encountered no issues besides a few bugs with the mod itself.

Just don't mess with anything multiplayer wise, that's where the issue arise.

You get a steam ban (AKA VAC ban) by using cheats or being caught hacking on games that use Valve Anti-cheat.

This game does not use VAC, therefore you cannot get a steam ban. You can get an ingame ban, which only prevents you from using Elden Rings official servers, and that's it.

I wish it would have been using VAC though. EAC is too problematic for me, VAC is my homie since Day of Deafeat Source days.
