The revenant? Do what csand says or get into the gazebo and snipe it from in there.

The Royal revenant gets damaged by healing spells, use either Heal/Great Heal/Lord's Heal or Erdtree Heal depending on which you've already picked up.

Right. The healing invocation for 12 faith is the cheapest weapon against all the revenants and also against the small wraith callers with their bells, who are often near the big mofus. The urgent heal for 8 faith does not work. Then there are the earth tree blessings, but they work differently and take more time to kill.

Using a healing spell will do massive damage to revenants. The simple version is available from Brother Corhyn at Roundtable Hold and requires 12 Faith. You can reach that with any character if you activate Godrick's Great Rune, or use the Faith Knot Crystal Tear from Limgrave.

Use a greatshield and circle around them don't fight them head on. Or just cast heal right when they pop up to stun.

#1 Solution to almost the entire game:

Get the Pike from Stormveil Castle. It is the melee weapon with the longest reach in the game, and it is not slow either.
Stick the Piercing Thrust Ash of War (buy from Bernahl) on it. It is a rudimentary Ash for most pierce weapons like spears, but it DESTROYS poise. Pike doesn't have it by default, but that can be resolved before you even leave Limgrave.

Then just thrust your long, hard shaft into everything. It can take out smaller enemies before they even get close enough to hit you. It can stab up at larger enemies whose weak points are normally out of reach. It can even stop Runebears and topple them. Make them weak at the knees and then finish them off.

Get on top of a wall or something and he can't melee you, you still gotta watch out for the acid spit attack but it's much easier to deal with.
