The amount of people doing great jar anti-cheese builds are ridiculous.
Thought I'd go there and get the talisman easy, so many dragon breath users, even with rejection I've died 10 times now.

I found the jumping R2 strat LordBob to be highly effective, going back to launch, for both 2h GS and dual-wielding builds to be pretty damn effective. I've done six runs through the game (and seven up to Great Jar), and each time, it was mostly a matter of overwhelming poise with jumping attacka and then punishing mistakes.

Patience. It will avail you.
I have been playing dual wielding (2 halberds) with jump attack since my second run, it is broken.

Everything with okay range and powerstance is basically broken
Yeah, most people cheese them, theyre stupidly overtuned, and you dont even get refills.

Doesnt help that you have to fight them all in one run and defeat the Golems each failed attempt so they dont bother you.

Dragon breath weaknesses (applies to ALL of them): They have really long windeup time.

Solution: Interrupt them, you have a very generous window to do so.
Just use ironjar and bhs with dragon builds and no one can stop you when you use dragon breath or any other spell. Bonus points if you stand on holy ground for 69% defenses. Most people will try to knock you down and get one shot real quick.
To be fair STR and mage build are the two best thing you can use in ER , STR because easy stagger and lots of boss can be cheesed that way or mage bcs tons of dmg and no skill needed (PVE) Faith is fine but powerfull incant are obtained latter on and find myself getting powerfull much latter then a STR build or mage build so yeah

There's something called backstab :D and if you see a dragonbreath running is a VERY good solution to dodge them (exeption being roar and plaz ruins) but other then that just dodge and backstab/Stun them with a colosal weapon (zwei for dex or greatsword(gutsword) are obtained early on and are pretty good to deal with that.
i ride past the giants, quit out, then reload and they are no longer attacking me, and i can kill them between fights to get crimson flask refills
I actually just finished a run built around the Sword of Night and Flame, and the great jar warriors were surprisingly difficult when I faced them earlier in the run. To be fair, I was using the SoNaF, so I had three-way split damage, but even the weapon art wasn't doing much damage and that should have been pure magic or pure fire damage. I don't remember them being quite that tough with my colossal sword build. I think the way I beat them was to actually switch to using incantations instead of the sword, which is ironically also how I eventually beat Radagon and Elden Beast. The SoNaF is a fun weapon, but the weapon art has too long of a wind up and not enough range, which makes it less than ideal in certain matchups.
If you switch the game to "Offline" mode, the NPC's will turn to FromSoft made builds, instead of player made
Standing-on-the-branch-and-watching-them-fall-down-to-their-death trick still works.
*Laughs in jumping attack spam*

Funfact: Jumping attacks cannot be parried.
