Even at end game, those trolls have enough HP to sustain a few combos before dying.
And they won't die when testing out sorceries with multiple projectiles, like Rock Sling.
If you want to try against "normal sized" enemies I'd go to Siofra River/Nokron and test out against the Claymen. There are plenty, they can take a hit and are pretty slow, giving you time to make adjustments.
I find this to be the better choice for now because you can parry them and implement that into training if your build allows that.
Avoid the Yellow Anix crazy trolls...hmm or not, go and try training with them! I dont want to spoil you a big surprise.
However they are quite easy to kill by Mogh’s trident and you can summon your mimic in that area.
Anyway - good advice and very cool spot to check your build on tough enemies.
Same as wierd birds in Mogh’s palace and big cancers under the capital. Also runebears can be tough.
Trolls are predictable and dumb, except the crazy ones with their nuke size frenzy flame spam. Snow ones are a bit more agressive than the standar trolls and even cast pyromancies, but as said they are resilient enough to try anything for more than 2 seconds.
Also Mogh trident even in NG7 melts nearly everything with a few casts unless they are fire or bleed resistant! So little to compare or try with that.
When you're overlevelled they're no threat, and their moveset is quick and powerful which can help you get a good feel for weapons you're testing.
