Why did Miquella choose Radahn and not Malenia?

Considering Malenia is the blade of MIquella, why did Miquella choose Radahn to be consort? When Malenia and Radahn fought, it basically ended as a draw too.

He might have not been into her. Or maybe twins being in a romantic relationship with each other would have been too much incest, even for Martin. Or Martin suggested it and Miyazaki respectfully declined, adding more high poly feet into the game instead.

Radahn does seem the more powerful of the two. Not to mention that his magic is more reliable than malenia's and he wasn't one of the incest babies that had outer god STD's like Malenia either.

Strength is obviously a big consideration but I think family history and relationship is also factored in.

Considering Malenia and Miquella were close and how Malenia would become her brother's sole protector, it's just a bit of a surprise to find out it's Malenia's rival that he chooses.

I believe its explained that Miquella looked up to Radahn as a great hero/lord, this is why he makes Radahn his consort/Elden Lord equivalent.

Probably Scarlet Rot god, would oppose it. But its not explained, it makes me think Radahn being there was a last minute addition. Its very out of nowhere because in the base game no interaction between them is ever mentioned.

Serious answer though: maybe it was because Radahn was one of the few who... well, weren't dead or had some form of divine STD.
Godwyn was as destroyed as it was possible to be. Mohg and Morgott were Omen, so as the DLC told us they were basically under a curse their whole life (and Mohg had Bloody STD). Ranni was dead/a doll, Rykard was... Rykard, and Malenia was so intrinsically entwined with Scarlet Rot that I don't think it was possible to get her to be anything but the "goddess of rot", rather than a "mere" consort. And Messmer was, well... who knows if Miquella even knew of Messmer before he had already set his plans in motion. And even then, Messmer had the whole serpent thing going on from birth, too.
So if Miquella was so dead set on a directly related child of Marika, as strong as possible and without any outside influences, then Radahn was the best option.
I still think it was a really bad choice from a story perspective, and also that it might have been influenced by "Radahn is cool, I like him, the players like him, let's do something with that". Also, anything with Malenia that didn't turn her into Miquella's pet assassin who got discarded after her use was up, that would have been great :/
(... except maybe even more incest. And I was so pleasantly surprised that a GRRM world had no obvious incest in it. More fool me!)

I genuinely do not want to see a waterfowl with a billion lasers around it. Both for performance and balance reasons
