Question about the academy great rune tower
Do i have to kill the now friendly wizard lady in the academy, or did I miss something? Because there is an altar at the tower's base, where I need to place something, and her egg could be that.

If you have beaten Rennala and she is just sitting there, don't kill her. There is a chest in the room with her, but you need to advance Ranni's questline first. You can use the key on the chest, and get a thing to place on the altar.

You can place something on the altar. It's not the egg, but something else you will acquire eventually.

Killing the now friendly wizard lady is no prerequisite to getting the item you are looking for.

You could try to beat her, but I don't know that you're going to win that staring contest. She's pretty relentless.
