Journal feature / better map.
@FromSoftware, Inc. Can we please get a journal feature or some way to track progress?

I understand not wanting to reveal parts of the game and keeping things difficult. I don't want to change that. I agree with not revealing parts of the game ahead of time.

I want to be able to look back at quest dialogue and be reminded of where I have to go. Something like a journal.

Also I would like to be able to track points of interest that I have already cleared and bosses I have already killed. These could also go in a journal, but it would be better if the map icons were to change and show they have been cleared already. Maybe both is good.

cant help you with the journal part but you can place things on the map to remember what you have done/are doing.

Hey Slimwaffle, if you actually need to reach someone who can fix your issue, you are better off sending a ticket to Bandai Namco support or FromSoft. There's seemingly no sign of any employee or dev reading through this forum to look for ways to improve on their game.

Also, what zero said. There are a bunch of different markers and beacons available to help you remember stuff. The beacons are not only ade visible on the map, but also your compass and the overworld. They will disappear as soon as you approach them.

The corporate bobbleheads won't bother, it doesn't make them get any pay grades.

Just download the map for goblins mod if its that big of an issue though you won't be able to play online without getting banned. I personally enjoy an open world that doesn't dangle a carrot in your face telling you where all the content is. I've had my fill of Ubislop

MapGenie (the one I prefer for Elden Ring) or Fextralife both provide fully interactive maps that have information and the ability to mark things as 'Found' and dims them out. It is not 'in-game' of course, but then you don't need a Mod to use them either. :)

Note that if you don't want things 'spoiled', you can turn off multiple categories of things and then they won't show on the map at all. Both also provide search functions which will show only the thing you are looking for.

Good Luck
Have Fun

When I discover a new side dungeon, I walk in and activate the grace, then pull out the map and put the "sword" marker right on top of that grace, to let me know I haven't completed this dungeon yet. When I encounter a new boss, I again pull out the map and put the "skull" marker on top of that boss. When I complete the dungeon or kill the boss I remove those markers.

This way, even if I abandon my playthrough for a week or two, I will still know what I have and haven't completed.

As people have said, From doesn't read here.

I will agree a very basic quest journal would have been nice. Not something with Skyrim style quest markers or anything, just a basic journal listing things like
"Blaidd asked me to meet him underground beneath the well in Mistwood" or
"I've been invited to the Volcano Manor if I can reach the Altus Plateau" kind of thing.

Just quick reminders since most of the dialog isn't repeatable would have been nice.

As others have pointed out, FromSoft doesn't read these forums. Also it's been 2 and a half years since release. Why would they add it now?

Thank you everyone for the help. I will definitely use this. It is just a shame the markers are limited to 100 markers at once.

In addition to using map markers - don't forget that your info items (and also the key items imo), in your inventory, also assist in keeping track of progress.
