Does anyone else have the Spirit in the Grand Cloister just off itself?

Something I've noticed in every new game cycle in my own worlds, that erdtree spirit in the grand cloister area always spawns on its own while I am still up in the lake of rot and then, somehow, gets itself rotted and dies.

Anyone else have this? I almost always forget the thing even exists until someone summons me to help fight it lol
