The twin moon knight is breaking the game, and my back
I think it's fair to say that i probably did malenia in about 100-150 tries the first time i fought her. narrowing it down drastically on subsequent playthroughs. And it always came down to simply mastering her one simple gimmick.

Then there's Rellena, the twin moon knight. I am easily 100 tries in And have memorized every combo and how to dodge them. But this still does not seem to matter for closing on on my first kill. It is almost as if she breaks the game with what she does. For every thing she can do, there's a 50% chance something inconsistent happens. And that's not even counting the god tier poise that Malenia WISHED she had.

- the double uppercut combo starter can sometimes be dodged perfectly, other times you dodge the first and roll out into the second, or both just hit as you remain in stunlock.
- Her Horizontal twirl into diagonal slash is a fast 2 piece mini combo appearing mid combo chain that has weird hitbox properties and camera movement, forcing you to 9/10 roll right into it even when you went the opposite direction. Dodging it is also inconsistent as i can try to dodge it twice in the same way and end up with entirely different results.
- Her phase 2 overhead slash combo into cross can normally be dodged by just spam rolling, but other times it's as if the timing is 0.1s off and you eat everything after 1-2 rolls.
- Her horizontal 4 hit flurry can often be spam rolled through. but other times you'll eat half of it, or wind up stunlocked and eat the whole thing.

There are other examples as well but these are the ones i can think of from the top of my head. And I find it insane that knowing what these attacks do and knowing how to dodge them, doesn't actually increase my chances all that much.

You could always change your build or find more scadutree fragments. There's a streamer who beat her using voice controls, copy her build

Shes the margit of the dlc. Use magic fire and physical defense talismans and tears. I used nagakiba with unsheathe with lightning infusion. I also had 35 endurance with ronin armor for lights rolls. Wait for her to finish her combo and then attack.

Why would you dodge her attacks, if you can just parry them all?

Are you by any chance medrolling?
All her moves are not aproblem with lightroll and if you reallly know her inside-out lightrolling through all her attacks but the 2 moons is easy.

i never use light rolls for any thing as you're not supposed to have to. But this boss sure pushes that to the limit.

I did not beat her on the minutes of tries I recorded but you can see the difference between lightroll and medrol is like night and day (also it was my first try at her):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8sZVSWbGPs

The moment I changee to lightroll I start doing a lot better (you sure can beat her with medrolls but lightrolls are supposed to as much as every other mechanic, still if you refuse to use lightroll as much as I refuse to use parry...).
Not that this may matter still but incase it does and can help. my build when I beat Renalla was shard level 6, ash level 5, full clean rot armour, shard of Alexander, rotten wingcrest insignia, the spelldrake talisman +3 (magic resist) and the greatshield talisman for physical resist (forget the actual name), right hand weapon was cleanrot spear +9 left hand was cleanrot straight sword +9 with bloodhound step (sacred) left hand 2 was dragon communion seal +10 spells; lords heal, all the
upgraded dragon breaths except the magic and magma, plediciasax breath, and the chargeable red lightning strike AoE (again forget the name but it looks like the deathlightning without the smoke, and red.) 8 crimson flasks, 2 cerulean flasks, physic with the crimson bubble tear and the opaline hardtear, summoned the npc and used black knife tiche +9 took me about 50 tried my stats admitedly were rather high at 40, 30, 30, 30, 50, 16, 50, 90.
