Come on dude.....You just post the same type of thread, totally awesome threads dont get me wrong.....what about innovation and freshness?
Anyways i have to answer to your thread question, OP. You beat the game after beating the game, summons of players, NPCs or ashes have little to do with that.
Goodbye, OP and thanks for this wholesome thread. I encourage you to think about something new for the next one.....but thats just a suggestion my good man.
Ash summons on the other hand completely break the balance of the game. They have no downsides, just a little cost of FP or health. They can be unfairly tanky due to the way ash upgrades work. Since resistances are not scaled, they make status effects like bleed or frost even more broken.
to answer your original question, I feel absolutely no satisfaction fighing a boss with summons, whether npc, player, or ash. Something about splitting agro invalidates my playstyle. I prefer a 1v1 duel.
If I wanted to do a party vs the boss fight I would play a game thats more designed with that in mind, like Monster Hunter.
