Commander Gaius
I think we can all agree that commander gaius is the worst boss in the dlc.
What do you think?

The main problem with Gaius is that he was meant to be fought on horseback, but the slightest touch from the boss knocks you out of the horse, making the "designed way" a truly horrible experience, so you will most likely be fighting him on foot if anything because the horse locks you out of most of your moveset.

So therein lies the design flaw. Because you have to fight him in a way he wasn't designed by default, makes him one of the most aggravating bosses in the DLC, dare I say the entire game. I dreaded each time I had to fight him on subsequent playthroughs. His second fase is awful, full of HUGE AOE attacks (that were designed to be evaded on horseback) and it's hard to get an angle of attack at him on foot as well.

I ended up just using the corner of the castle wall as a shield whenever I needed to heal and to be able to try to go on the offensive as hes constantly ramming you, blasting the ground and doing combos with the highest degree of aggressiveness in the entire DLC, second only to Radahn himself.

Belive me when i say he was MUCH worse before the first expansion balance patch. Spawning on top of the damn boar every time i wiped......Also the normal boar charges where a massive pain in the ass to dodge, so i had to Finger Print his face while rotting and burning him (caster for life!). Funny how little stamina the boar charge consume if blocked.....All the other skills are predictable and easy to outrun/dodge.

Oh he also is extremly vulnerable to holy damage.....

For me, it's Gauis, the plant, and PK. I did not enjoy any of those fights. For PK I had to tough it out myself, because I'd often die before the summons even had a chance to go through the fog wall. The plant isn't hard, but that last phase is just bull. Thematically it's great, actually being in the fight for it is not. And Gauis' hog is way too agile. Using Torrent for that fight seems to be a trap. And it just makes me wish they'd buff Torrent. Poor thing can barely take any hits. But this giant pig has the grace of a ballerina...

Don`t forget that Gaius will punish you for healing
