Golden hippo boss room

this seriously needs to be addressed, having a 2/3 chance to lock yourself out of a remembrance boss just because you decided to take a secondary path instead of a clearly linear one.

if you enter the golden hippo boss room in the shadow keep from any other way besides the front door, it locks you out of the boss fight permanently.

I dont know what OP is talking about but there is no way to make any remembrance boss unavailable in Shadow of the Erdtree, no matter your path or choices and thats the bottom line.

It doesn't tho, you can just enter from the front of the Shadow Keep and fight it again.

Yeah I cleared the back path first, and then warped to the front of the castle and fought the hippo.

dude just enter from the front, the door is closed on the sides because that is how the boss works, you going all the way around and wanting to enter the wrong way is your fault, not a game fault

How did you even enter the main part of Shadow Keep from the Church District? Did you jump over the railing in the Specimen Storehouse or something?
