Performance with 8 gb ram?
I am using a rtx 3060, i7 11th gen but only 8gb ram single channel @ 3200hz. Does anyone with similar ram get only like around 45 or 50 fps like I do? My gpu and cpu cores are usually utilized at around 45 to 60 and max 75% from what i can tell yet I get at max around 50 fps in open world sections and usually dips to 45 fps.

Edit: Max settings btw @1080 p

I don't know for certain, but I sincerely doubt 8gb or RAM will allow the game to run smoothly regardless of GPU or CPU specs.

Time to upgrade, 16gb is considered the minimum these days. Its also by far the easiest part to swap out, even in laptops.

for my experience you can still cap the game to 30 fps if you have mid spec PC.

I wouldn't try it. You may have stutter issues and generally a bad experience with only 8gb

I have already been through the whole game multiple times. Just wanted a non stuttery experience

You would be pushing it hard with 8gb. I think you could run it fine, but without having anything else open.

8 gigs of ram is really not enough to do any sort of modern gaming.

Ye the game runs but at like 47 fps on avg despite my cpu and gpu running at around 50 to 60%

Yea I started noticing when i played some newer games. Even tw3 in novigarde i saw comparison of 8gb single vs 16 gb dual the first one got like 45 fps and the other got like 73 fps

The single channel ram, not so much the 8GB total, will definitely cause a performance decrease not just in games but in normal tasks as well. It probably would help a lot to get a kit of 16GB (2 x 8GB) dual channel ram. Also is this a laptop or a desktop? It's pretty easy to install new ram on either.

I got mixed performance. If its the first thing that i boot RIGHT after i start up my computer, no problem at all, the usual strutter at the beggining and nothing more, but, if i boot the game after i played something else, it became a dreadful experience, at least, for the first 10 minutes.

since you already did some spending on pretty good hardware why on earth would you bottleneck your system with low ram. also do some looking around for benchmarks with simular hardware to see wich ram gets the most out of your setup

Yeah laptops are more work to install and some can be tricky. You have to unscrew the bottom off and you should see the installed ram on the motherboard, it's usually in an easy spot to change out. The only tricky part is popping off the bottom, if you don't have a tool to pry it off then it can crack if you apply to much pressure.

edit: You said you know, thought you said you didn't.
