Pvp question

Im kinda new to pvp, are people actually farming materials for UPLIFTING AROMATICS? Or the materials are sold somewhere?

Uplifting Aromatic requires Arteria Leaf, which can be farmed by defeating the trolls near the Giant's Gravepost site of grace, if not for the abysmal drop rate.

Arteria Leafs are also not sold anywhere.

ORRRRRR get like 10 of what you want and a friend. Back up your save drop the 10 item for your friend to pick up so yoiu have 0 and your friend has the 10. Reload the back up save you now have 10 and your friend has 10. He them drops them for you to pick up you now have 20 repeat this until you are happy with the amount you have.
edit: to back up you save press windows key and R at the same time. type %appdata% in the box find elden ring click it. click the folder with all the numbers then copy the thing that says ER0000.sl2 this is your save

That's technically cheating or at least an exploit. I would block any player who spam those rare consumable during a pvp session since that indicates high probability of such actions.

Pretty sure everyone just uses the merchant mod or Cheat Engine, including all the big streamers on YouTube/Twitch. Why spend hours farming, when you can just get the mats instantly with no risk of ban, it's dumb don't you think.

Actually CE do result in ban at some cases. unless it's for seamless multiplayer which doesn't have an anti-cheat.
At least I'm sure most people don't do meta like those steamers, and people farm those material the legit way.
Not to mention there are other platforms where CE or modding are unavailable.

The game doesn't care where you get your items. I use the merchant mod for ancient dragon stones all the time, so that I can stay in NG and have tons of fully upgraded weapons.

You'll fight people who have used every possible way to max everything. So what do you do? Choose wisely :)
While duping is cheating, you won't get banned for it. IMO, FS allows it. They could have blocked it like they blocked smithing stones, the spear you get at Rykard, and even more now in the DLC where they've blocked the trading of at least 8 armor pieces. After all, it keeps the game going
