Worst boss ever

Just beat Messmer after about an hour. I think he might be FromSofts worst ever. Is he too hard? I dont know. Dont think so, but mechanically he is just ass and there seems to be a trend with FromSoft now with these sweaty Bosses that never lets upp, spams AOE and jumps allover the place. Its a very cheap way of making fights difficult imho. If anything else it makes the whole experience stressful and I dont know who actually plays games to get stressed out.

I understand that you need to reinvent yourself because all of us are fighting there tricks out. If every fight was like Isshin we would eventually cake walk that too. But I am not a fan of this particular direction

his attack pattern is much simpler than what it looks tbh and has some colossal openings every time he goes big serpent

the gfx make the fight feel a lot more cluttered than what actually is

Phase 2 specifically. I think phase 1 is great.

It'll probably be a long while before I git gud at phase 2 and can reliably help folks.

Still can't figure out what went wrong. Phase 1 is a good example of "Easy to learn, somewhat hard to master", and then Phase 2 is just a giant "F*ck you" banner.

The switcheroo here is too severe, borderline nonsensical.

I love Messmers fight. It was the most enjoyable fight of the DLC for me, I agree with Sham, it all looks much crazier than what is actually going on. Im not going to be one of those guys that goes and says hes easy. I think his second phase is actually easier than his first though. He is way easier to punish and actually attacks quite a bit less, so you dont have to dodge those massive attack chains.
