Let Me Solo Her ruined the Elden Ring community

Long story short, I was helping a host kill the final boss and he summoned another furled finger, "let me solo him." So I was helping the host kill the boss and suddenly I realized one minute in that I am the only one attacking the boss. The summon and host were just chilling out watching as I was doing abmyssal dmg (I am doing a cosplay build BTW since not everyone is interested in boring bleed meta builds) until I was eventually withered down due to rollback netcode stuttering the game and the triple slash true combo hitting me.After I died, then the summon decided to jump in and do dmg.

Point is, if LMSH didnt exist, this wouldnt have happened. PEople praise him as a hero like he is some kind of wholesome welocming change to the community, but all he did was promote toxicity. PEople like that summon are a direct byproduct of LMSH. I said this since he was famous two years ago and it appears I stand correct to this day.

I am usually not a violent person, but I would be lying if I said I wouldn't deck him with a right hook if I met him IRL.

We're not psychic and we don't know why they did that. Even if I grant you that this person was inspired by LMSH, that doesn't mean it's LMSH's fault. LMSH doesn't go around telling people not to help if they assist you in killing the boss. You're clearly just upset that you died and are looking for someone to blame when you should just move on.

It's because he's just some dude who was trying to help other players or be an interesting figure in the ER community with no ill intent, yet you're bashing him for (allegedly) inspiring other people to be like him--except for not helping if someone joins in.

Does the real LMSH just stands there and not help if the host or another summon assists? I doubt it. His goal was to help other players who were stuck on the toughest boss in the game.

well he will never help since the boss move sets will change if malenia changes agro between 2 players i think let me solo her has only experience beating her solo since is easier that way to dodge and predict her next move , but consort radhan is build specifically to win against this time of players or summons .

As someone who solos messmer for people, I personally cant stand when hosts summon me and another cooperator because all it does is inflate the boss health pool. Especially annoying when the cooperator dies in the first 10 seconds of the fight. Although I will say even if I get summoned with another cooperator I never just sit on the sidelines.

I frequently help others by killing Malenia for them(my character's name is LetMeTryHerAlone, cus im nowhere near as skilled as mister potheadman). Often they would join in regardless of what my name is. Do i get upset? No, im happy they join in regardless and we have fun(unless the host lags and then Malenia ♥♥♥♥♥ on my attacks by poising through them, then its kind of just torture but oh well). This kind of 'toxicity' youre talking about is kind of rare, and not something i ever really experienced.
If i get summoned and the host summons another furled finger and then they also join the fight, the more the merrier. Quite often both of them just stand there and let me deal with her, and not once did the host summon someone who also wanted to solo Malenia, and then we just sort of looked at each other and had some sort of mutual agreement that whoever made the first move would solo her. Few times a Malenia solo-er witnessed me kill her, few times it was the opposite. It is a really nice feeling, and overall i feel like its not as big of a deal as youre making it out to be, OP. Again, i agree that that solo-er shouldnt just stand by and do nothing and wait for you to die to reap the 'glory', but at the end of the day, i dont think its significant enough to warrant this sort of hate towards LMSH.

I personally prefer to solo a boss when summoned. But I know not everyone does.

Generally the best way to make it clear that "I'm not going to solo this, help me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" is to lure the boss right on top of whomever is being passive.

If they still don't engage the boss after you do this a few times just leave. Let them deal with their own mess at that point.

nah buddy dont get angry in vain, its common, it happens A LOT to me (and never with one of this 'let me solo' dudes), all the time, host just sits there watchin hoping u gonna kill the boss for him, it happened before let me solo her and after, its a common thing, i understand the feelin but dont bang ur head against the wall, if it ever happens again just aggro the boss towards them, thats what i do lol
