You mean you went into New Game+?

If you didn't backup your save, it may be too late.

You can try this but no guarantee that it will work (assuming you're on Windows):

- Open file explorer then type %AppData%\EldenRing
- You should see a folder with numbers. Open it
- There 2 files there: ER0000.sl2 and ER0000.sl2.bak
- Copy both files on your desktop just in case
- Delete ER0000.sl2 and replace it with ER0000.sl2.bak (remove the .bak at the end of the file)

Now try starting the game

I assume "bak" means backup, aka. the previous save. If it doesn't work put everything back like before

Well, you can still access fairly quick i guess? you can talk to the first guy to have the mogh invitation and stuff, but I don't know if you need to trigger Radahn fight or beat him before to access the DLC? If not, I can help you with Mogh, I am doing it right now, if you need well, i'm sorry but if you didn't make any backup you're done.

Yeah, you need to fight Radahn, but I was told you can initiate the festival to kill him by activating a grace at Leyndell, so it can be relatively fast too. Otherwise, there's a glitch to bypass the festival altogether

you can get to the dlc by speedrunning the main game again sadly , u dont have to finish it tho , just kill radahn and mohg. should take about 3 hours to get there if u are efficient

I had the same issue. Solved it though!

I've never in my life played a NG+ so I forgot to consider it's existence even, lol. The fact that this game doesn't create a new save file is a huge oversight imo. But honestly.... nothing about this game is easy or very nice to it's users, so why should this be different LMAO.

Anyways, I solved it by going to the C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\EldenRing folder, finding my save file (I only had 1), right-clicking it and pulling up it's properties, then going to the "Previous Versions" tab. I was lucky enough to have a backup saved automatically by windows from a week ago, which worked perfectly for me since it had been months since I last played.
Restored that previous version, booted up the game, and was back to the end of the game again.

you can use the steam cloud to download an old save depending on sync timing but it's really no biggie other than item collection, in which case...there's ways around that.

I was on NG+ when I started the DLC so as far as difficulty goes I can say it's really a non-issue bc of the scadutree blessing mechanic.
