Wait I'm not nerfed in the Shadow realm?
I swear I've seen so many videos of people going into the Shadow Realm and needing multiple hits to kill the shadow-dudes walking around

With Blessing 0 I'm one shotting them, and even the Black Knight in the temple went down in 5

I thought the damage you deal was nerfed since there's no way you don't deal 600 damage on a build? Like granted I am using a Halberd but still lol

So Scadu is just an outright buff?

The way I understand it, it's mostly there to offset playing NG+7. Or for people who need the extra buff because things can one hit kill later on.

But yeah, things just hit like at Haligtree when you're at the starting area.

Overall it's all posturing in most forums and watching streamers. There's plenty of people who anticipated that the main entry to the dlc should be 150 rune level with 50 vigor. It changed to 60 vigor at some point in the past year, I don't know when. But the 150RL is overall low. I went in around 230RL at NG+3 and am 255 currently with a little left of the dlc before I start NG+4. We saw a lot of the 150RL streamers start leveling up right away and asmongold is a good example of that.

My guess is the rune level is higher than most will admit to but fromsoft clearly can tell with the analytics. I do think the meta will be higher and that also will be for pvp. Where 150 was the ideal for p4p it now will be at least 200 due to the DLC.

NG: 200
NG+: 230
NG+2: 250
NG+3: 280
NG+7: 350ish

Who knows. Who cares. Rune level is hardly anything at the end game as the build quality. A lot of people who read and study min max builds forget how powered they are compared to average players who just piece together builds but have way higher levels. Plus the ultimate skill is not leveling up and seeing the virtuoso level players no hit the game. It's silly arguing what is considered "legit" when every rune level, weapon upgrade, consumable, summons and ash of war is an advantage. If it's in the game then use it. Or don't. Scale to your own personal desire.
Depends mostly on your build. I first ran through with my Faith build using Cipher Pata and could 1-shot the regular shadow guys with an uncharged heavy. Now I'm using my RL138 co-op toon and it's the same story using Hookclaws.

As someone that does A LOT of co-op, there are a ton of people with some rather bad builds so I'd assume many of their issues come down to their build being far from optimal.

The only thing I'd want out of the +25 levels is just stamina
Vigor capped and damage is enough even though it's not a full softcap

Yeah I made a mistake wandering to the Cerulean Coast instead of the castles

117 minutes and it's like 90 minutes of Torrent travel

Even if I did go to one of the castles in the middle and did this later, this is just exhausting.
Blackgaol was an okay NPC fight
Forge dungeon was odd, no boss and like 3 enemies (Not counting slugs)
Random Yoda was funny, but c'mon Demi Human Queen without a new spin on it?

I'm starting to get some of the negativity around the DLC
