Why Dungeater's mending rune gives you the best ending.

When asked for the best ending, people usually point either to Goldmask or Ranni. Fair enough, they have their pros but also cons. While Goldmask ending changes nothing about the order itself and maintains the same oppressive dogma as the Golden Order, it removes the potentially destructive influence of the gods (aka Marika). Ranni's ending leaves the people of the lands between to fend for themselves but at the same time this also results in their freedom from the oppressive gods. Fia's ending now is a bit less clear but still has positives and negatives. On one hand, Godwyn's almost cancerous growth of deathroot is allowed to continue to spread and probably create even more undead, and on the other hand, the death rune is rejoined no matter what so new people should be able to die a normal death.
Now there are the weirdos that think that Frenzied Flame has the best ending since you burn everything down, ending suffering that way. And while that is reasonable considering the status quo of the lands between, it really drives home just why Poop-man's ending is way better: you curse every living being and their offspring, extending their suffering eternally. Ending it swiftly would be far too merciful for the denizens of this world. They deserve worse.
