In this short vid, I effortlessly crush Commander Gaius w/o flasking. Wow! this DLC is so hard!

I swear the smug sense of superiority dripping from this post sickens me.

Cool, you just proved you'd rather overpower it than learn it, that's the point your opposition is making.

I'm level 160 in this clip. :steamhappy:

Doesn't change the fact that you're overpowering the boss rather than learning how to dodge the attacks, hence proving it's poorly designed. You're also using a weapon that is likely to be bugged, as it doesn't take into account the Guard Boost while blocking+attacking atm.

But still, take a screenshot of the status page including the blessings, please.

I know this is a jab at how OP presented his point, but genuinely, Gaius is far from being poorly designed. His charge's hitboxes are a bit wonky, sure, but that's about the only thing that would require attention. Everything else is a smooth ride.

Mostly playing devil's advocate tbh. I don't have much of a problem with him myself outside of the hitboxes.

I'm just trying to show how dumb it is to brute-force something and use that as proof that the something in question is fine as it is, because it's the third thread of this type, in which the OP doesn't show a shred of skill and wins through sheer numbers, bypassing the mechanics entirely.

Gaius was such a pushover. Only one attack i didnt like was the aoe vortex that he spammed 4 times in a row on me the first time. XD

Fair enough. It's like me saying Radahn's second phase is fine because you can use the infamous Rolling Sparks cheese.

using shields is brute forcing because?
shields have been great since ds1, maybe accept them in your arsenal instead of just wearing them on your back for the passive buffs

dont bother people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and dont want to learn. even ifyou show them the actual proof they will downvote you to oblivion because they are mad other are able to do it with ease and they cant. actual toddlers

Did you know that people have all sorts of different builds? Of course a shield build gets to ignore majority of the things other builds will have a difficult time, that's what makes the game so fun

It isn't, thrusting shields are bugged and act as if they have 100 guard boost while blocking+attacking, meaning the consume no stamina for blocking and cannot be guard-broken. It's essentially greatshield poking without the downsides.
