Then you have Prisoner for faithless int builds and Hero for arcane dummy (aka extra low int) builds.
The rest are noob-traps for the most part. Only being optimal for very specific gear loadouts if at all.
Hybrid builds (int+fth, int+str/dex, fth+str/dex, arc+fth/int) are a bit tricky, as they require a more complex stat spread, but make for a build that has more utility than a pure int caster or str fighter.
Sprinkle in a bit of fth regardless of build, to get access to utility spells like Golden Vow (general buff, regardless of class) or Flame Grant me Strength (close combat fighters, fire incant caster), Flame Cleanse Me to be able to alleviate poison and rot.
That's just my opinion if you're approaching end game (around lvl135). By then you should have at least 60 vig, especially if you're planning to enter the dlc. having 60 vig towards the end of the game is probably the most important thing, the rest is up to your personal preference.
Don't forget to have fun with whatever you're playing, maybe update this thread of yours if you decided on what it'll be!
Samurai is a close second. While it has the same amount of stats in int, faith and arc combined as the vagabond class it has more points in mind and dex, which you might not necessarily want for some builds like pure strength.
i think the correct answer is either wretch because of the faster vigor or astrologer because of magic glintblade as starting spell.
At the end of the day starting classes don't matter much and it only gives you one or two levels advantage/disadvantage in any build, those i stated are just the most optimal for this class.
